Letter from Beverly Graham
Dear Friends,
 |
The late Otto Graham with his
wife, Beverly. |
It is with great pleasure that I invite you to join me and my family
in supporting the Otto Graham Gymnasium and Activity Center on the
campus of Waterford Country School in Waterford, Connecticut. This
incredible facility will pay tribute to Otto in the most fitting
way. He always felt so strongly about the work done at this unique
facility, genuine care and concern for young people was a part of
Otto’s life and Waterford Country School exemplifies this.
Whether on the playing field or in the back yard, Otto felt strongly
that hard work, love and laughter makes for a strong child and a
better world.
Waterford Country School is committed to providing a safe environment for children
in crisis, and to support families with the resources, skills, and the tools
they need to create and maintain a healthy, secure, and self sufficient home
environment. The School’s philosophy is to ensure that each child entrusted
to care is given the opportunity to grow, learn and develop at his or her own
pace and live by the Waterford Country School’s motto, “Where Everybody
is Somebody.”
Your financial support will help turn a dream into a reality. For years and
years, Otto and I worked on behalf of the children at Waterford Country School.
I served on the Board and Otto was the first president of the Waterford Country
School Foundation, a group organized to help raise funds to renovate the campus.
It was always our dream to see the children have a recreational facility that
was appropriate. Today that dream is taking shape faster than ever. Your commitment
will help see us through. Please consider making a gift in honor of Otto and
his dream.
My family is honored to be part of this legacy project in Otto’s name.
Sincerely,
Beverly Graham
